He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Dean and Frances Crook Dean; his son W. Gordon Dean; and his brothers, William "Bill" L. Dean and Francis "Frank" E. Dean.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa Long Dean; his daughter Laura Beth Faragasso (Dawn); his granddaughters, Judy Brodbeck (Colin) of Tallahassee and Mary Beth Faragasso (Bethany) of San Diego; his brother Douglas Dean (Helga) of Germany; his sisters-in-law, Brenda Dean of Brandon and Shirley Dean of Seattle, Washington; his niece Betsy Dean Quayuum of Vienna, VA; his nephew Darren Dean of Seattle, Washington.; and his brother-in-law Dr. Charles G. Long. He is also survived by his family and was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.
