He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Wheeler Pafford; and his parents, Sophia Pafford and Roy Pafford. He is survived by: his children, James Roy Pafford (Pamela Elizabeth Pafford) and Judith Pafford Wills (Herbert Wills IV); and his grandchildren, Jared Martin Taber, James Harold Pafford (Jessica Dennis Pafford), Jason James Taber (Deb Trusty), Amanda Elizabeth Pafford Capece (Christopher Capece) and William Galen Pafford (Bethany Pafford). He is also survived by five great grand-children.
