He was predeceased by: his father Richard Owens. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Kessler Owens; his son Dalton Owens of Tallahassee; his former wife DeeAnna Owens of Tallahassee; and his siblings, Diana Nichols (Jamie), Amy Dellinger (Joe), Scotty Owens and Tony Hartman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be set up for Dalton, Ricky's son.
