It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Emily Gay Groom in Tallahassee, Florida, who passed away at the age of 79, on January 30, 2025. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Willis "Shorty" Gay and Anne Gay; her siblings, William Gay, Harry Gay, Annette Dupree, Frank Gay, Alfred Gay, Mary Whitehead, Barbara Hadden, Jane Snyder and Annie Driggers; her spouse Claude "Sonny"; and her grandchildren, Sierria (Carson), Eric, Caleb, Ian, Wyatt and Finley. She was also cherished by many other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Big Bend Hospice, The Children's Lighthouse, or Capital Heights Baptist Church.
