She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Jackson Lee and Willie Maude Lee (White); her husband Robert "Bob" Yates; her siblings, Ruby Jewel Henry and Robert Lee; and her daughter-in-law Marla Yates.
She is survived by: her children, David Yates of Tallahassee, Florida, Teresa Yates-Moura (John) of Los Angeles, Cheryl Yates of Albany and Melissa Stabler (Greg) of Tallahassee, Florida; and her siblings, Jessie Miller of Tallahassee, Woodrow Lee of Otto and Jack Lee of Louisville, Kentucky.. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren along with their spouses and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Heritage Assembly of God Church (298 Crossway Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32305). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Heritage Assembly (298 Crossway Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32305). A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Tallahassee National Cemetery (5015 Apalachee Pkwy, Tallahassee, FL 32311).
