He was predeceased by: his parents, Firminio Paul Checca and Mary Grace Cascio Checca; his spouse Shirley Fosket Checca; and his nephew Richard Dominick Geloso. He is survived by: his daughter Brianne Checca (Ashley Sachs) of Pompano Beach; his grandchildren, Savannah and Bayou; his close friend Carol Martin; his sister Patricia Checca-Anesetti; and his niece Rosalia Geloso-Barone.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the T. M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home (7001 NW 4th St, Plantation, FL 33317). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. David's Catholic Church (3900 S University Dr, Davie, FL 33328).
