She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ernesto Darquea Endara and Maruja Andrade of Darquea; her husband Leonardo R. Polit; and her daughters, Cristina, Elisa and Valeria.
In her memory donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Evelyn Gloria Darquea de Polit nacio en Quito, Ecuador el 2 de Agosto de 1952.
