She was predeceased by: her husband Waldo Cushing; and her siblings, Virginia, George, Edward and Douglas.

She is survived by: her children, Waldo Cushing Jr. (Joanne) of Clermont Florida and Virginia Reynolds of Tampa Florida; her grandchildren, Deborah Cushing of Sunrise, Florida., Nicole Ray, Michael Cushing (Laura), James Jr. (Rebecca) and Joseph; and her great grandchildren, Kylie, Gianna, Ella, Jordan, Kaelyn, Carson, Silas, Marley and Karley.

She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi where they did a lot of charity work.
