Martha (Sigler) Kasey Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha (Sigler) Kasey (Sun City Center, Florida), born in Henderson County, Kentucky, who passed away on August 23, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Martha was a retired AT&T employee who had a passion for music, art, gardening, sewing, and cooking. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Henderson and for many years sang in the church choir and Henderson Community Chorus. She moved to the Tampa Bay area in 2020 to be closer to her family.

Martha is survived by son Gary Coffman (Pamela), grandsons Taylor Coffman (Brittney) and Austin Coffman, and great-grandson Greyson Coffman - all of Ruskin, FL. Other survivors are brother Carl Sigler of Manitou, KY, sisters Nancy Patterson (Devery) of Slaughters, KY, Betty Gibbons (Anthony) of Henderson, sisters-in-law Amy Sigler of Elburn, IL, Mary Sigler of Tulsa, OK, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Martha was preceded in death by husbands Carnie Coffman and Arthur Kasey, parents Francis Jett Sigler and Mary Elen Pruitt Sigler, sisters Frances Hazelwood (Lafe) and Pam Sigler, brothers Richard (Jennie), Maurice, and Douglas Sigler, nephew Charles Edward Hazelwood (Jean), and nieces Lisa Sigler Lambert and Marteen Sigler Hinnt.

Martha will be remembered for her love for God, generosity, endless energy, sense of humor, and desire to entertain. The family wishes to thank Margaret Vaughan of Henderson for her selfless help, and the staff at Palm Garden and Life Path Hospice in Sun City Center for the kindness shown and professional services provided during Martha’s time in Sun City Center.

A private funeral service will be held in Henderson at a future date with burial in Fairmont Cemetery Mausoleum.
