Katherine M. (Hilser) Nuzzaro Obituary
It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of Katherine M. Nuzzaro from Sun City Center, Florida (previously from New Rochelle and Mount Vernon, NY). She passed away peacefully on February 13, 2021 at the age of 76. Kathy was born on December 21, 1944 to the late Edwin and Eleanor (Schauer) Hilser. Kathy was one of fourteen siblings born and raised in New Rochelle, NY and attended New Rochelle High School.
Kathy was a devoted mother and grandma, who loved her family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren brought her so much joy and happiness. Kathy truly enjoyed cooking delicious meals, hosting holiday gatherings with family and friends and spending time at the beach. She basked in fabricating beautiful pottery creations and she was also the co-owner of The Clothes Rack in Larchmont, NY in the 1980s.
She was predeceased by her beloved siblings, Edwin Hilser, Eleanor Sue Perri, Eugenia Jean Straehle, June Gill, Vincent Hilser, Claire McNamara, Peter Hilser, Eugene "Skip" Hilser and former spouse Ronald Nuzzaro, Sr.
She is survived by her longtime companion Robert Wardell; her loving children, Ron Jr. (Maria) Nuzzaro, Russell (Joanne) Nuzzaro, and Danielle (Alfred) Lembo; her eight adoring grandchildren, Reina, Ronnie III, Rossano, Rachelle and Rocco Nuzzaro, Joseph, Sophia and Franky Lembo along with her beloved siblings, Ruth Popham-Klinger, Richard Hilser (Lynda), Carol Holze, Nancy O'Connor and Charlotte O'Neill, who passed away a short time after.
A Christian funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 10th 2021 at 12:00 pm at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, (10 Squire Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10703). A memorial celebration of her life will directly follow at Sinatra Funeral Home (499 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704) from 1:30pm to 5:30pm.
