She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Charles W. Nelson, Jr.; her parents, Dave Harris and Elizabeth Harris; her sisters, Evelyn Watson and Mary Jaynes; her grandson Jeffery Carter; and her great grandchild Arianna Carter.

She is survived by: her daughter Lynda; her son-in-law David Carter; her sister Betty; her brother-in-law Richard Kelly; her grandchildren, Alicia Nixon, Angela Waldauer and Dave Carter, III; her great grandchildren, Lexi, Grant Garner, Kegan Edmiston, Kobie, Kogan Waldauer, Cierra, Davie, Jax Carter, Samantha Smith and Morgen Nixon; and her great great grandchildren, Selycia, Kalan, Donovan Edmiston, Sophie Remiendo and Preston Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
