It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garth Russell Akridge (Sun City Center, Florida), who passed away on November 4, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Anita Akridge; and his children, Floyd Russell Akridge (Teresa) and Sheryl Akridge Stokes (Steve). He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

“To all those who knew Garth "Russell" Akridge: We were all blessed by having had the pleasure of knowing and now remembering him. He passed on a wonderful heritage, one we are only beginning to explore in more detail. I know our hearts mourn and grieve but the memories of the laughter and stories bring back smiles to overshadow our tears and loss. The things he imparted to his children will last a lifetime. He filled his chair well and all who knew him know exactly what I mean. Love to you all.”
