He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlin Alvin Anderson and Maxine Charlotte Koch (Hansen); his son Michael Anderson; and his siblings, Duane Anderson and Marilyn Nyberg.

He is survived by: his wife Carole McAnally; his children, Chris Anderson (Vera), Heidi Anderson (Randall Biehl), Heather Battaglia (Frank) and Mary Nakamura (Reid); and his brothers, Michael Koch (Anne) and Gary Zander (Janet).
