He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosemary Whelchel (Harlan) and Robert Welchel. He is survived by: his wife Kathy (Skrzypczak); his sister Holly Chase (Ed) of Tequesta, FL; his parents-in-law, Bob and Diane Filcek of Kawkawlin, MI; his cousins, Kim Beal and Tonya Cassidy of Illinois; and his stepchildren, Robert Welchel and Rosemary Whelchel (Harlan).
