James Carlisle MacLeod Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Carlisle MacLeod of Stuart, Florida, born in Gardiner, Maine, who passed away on November 23, 2023 at the age of 76. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Carlisle MacLeod to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Carlisle of Boothbay Harbor and Ronald F. MacLeod of Augusta, Maine.. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Immordino MacLeod; his daughters, Carrie S. MacLeod of Portland, Maine and Jaime M. Berhanu (Andy) of Bowdoinham, Maine; his grandchildren, Iyana Berhanu, Makeda Berhanu of Bowdoinham, Aviva Feinberg and Mayim Feinberg of Portland, Maine.; his pets, Dukie Darling, Knicky, Kelly, Casey, Firecracker and Huey; his siblings, Ronald MacLeod (Karen) of Woodbridge, VA and Mary Alice Brown (Dennis) of Villa Rica, GA; his cousins, Jill Cummings of Stuart, FL and David Rand (Julie) of Jefferson, Maine; his close friend Craig Stretch (Missi) of Penn Valley, PA; his cousin Bilancio; and also Cat. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Jim’s name be sent to National Junior Tennis and Learning of Trenton (NJTLT), which shares the passion that Jim had for enriching the lives of youngsters through tennis, education, mentoring, and preparation for higher education: NJTL is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit so all donations are 100% tax-deductible.
