He was predeceased by: his father John Kenneth Reed. He is survived by: his mother Janice Jackson Reed (Anita Reed); his children, Preston Reed and Crista Reed; his grandchildren, Hailey Tomas and Eli Galloway; his siblings, Mike Reed (Tina) and Bethany Reed; his nieces, Larson Todd, Courtney Homer, Peyton Reed, Elissa Homer and Souli Chavez; and his nephew Grant Collins.

After being wounded and leaving the military he became involved with Wounded Warrior Foundation where he helped several veterans.
