He is survived by: his wife Linda Coker Shannon of Starke, FL; his children, Sheila Thornton (Chad) of Starke, FL, Dana Lynn Jones of Starke, FL and Larry David Shannon, II (Kweli) of Nokomis, FL; his sisters, Carolyn Glisson of Hawthorne, FL, Marilyn Blackwell (Dean) of Lake City, FL and Virginia Elaine Tenly of Starke, FL; his grandchildren, Jordyn Bennett, Jacob Thornton (Ciera), Jenna Thornton, Tyler Jones, Taylor Jones, Bentley Van Allen, Larry David Shannon, III, Aaliyah Shannon, Jannah Striplin and Sophia Shannon; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Bennett, Waylon Edgy, Jeremiah Thornton and Temperance Thornton. He is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
