He is survived by: his wife Susan Batten (Sheppard) of Starke; his children, Clara Lea Hicks (John) of Chiefland, Jeremy William Batten (Lisa) of Middleburg and Tina Marie Batten of Gainesville; his sister Louise Douglas of Flagler Beach; and his mother-in-law Carmen Quigley (David) of Chiefland.
