He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester A. Crosby and Iris McRae Crosby; and his siblings, Carl Lavon Crosby, Charles Crosby and Gloria Brousseau.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Ida Barry Crosby; his sons, Jimmy Jr. (Leslie) and Traye Crosby (Babybear); his grandchildren, Jeremiah, Cherokee and Lakota; his great grandchild Brittany Crosby Alvarez (Justin); his son Tommy (Cindy); his granddaughter Jessica Crosby Wolfe (Russ); his great grandchildren, Tucker and Adrienne; his sisters, Pansy Taylor, Joyce Broadwell (Fred) and Sue Clay (Raymond); his sister-in-law Joyce Crosby; and also, Collin, Harper, Ridge, Thomas (Ariel) and Elena. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
