Christopher Michael Hammond Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher Michael Hammond (Saint Cloud, Florida), born in Melbourne, Florida, who passed away on April 17, 2023, who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 49, on April 17, 2023. He had attended Lock Haven Christian School, graduated from Gateway High School and continued his education at Piedmont Technical College in North Carolina where he received his degree in structural welding and began his welding career from there. He is survived by his mother, Opal Baker, his father, Richard Hammond, his sister, Rebecca Smith along with her husband Steven and their three daughters, Jordan, Abby and Sophie, his wife, Llyssa Jinks and their two children, Raven and Aiden Hammond.
Those who knew him, know that despite his often unfiltered mouth and rough exterior, Christopher had a big, soft heart. When he wasn't sleeping til noon or enjoying an afternoon nap, you would most likely find him busting his knuckles turning a wrench under so many cars and trucks that were in desperate need of repair from people who couldn't afford today's shop rates. Armed with his ever growing tool collection and vast and diverse knowledge in mechanics, carpentry, welding and some plumbing and electric he was constantly asked by friends and family for his assistance.
Although most of his waking hours were spent working or helping his friends and family, Chris spent the remainder of his time with Raven and Aiden, whom he loved more than life itself. Even through some of the hardest times in our lives he would always find a way to make it through because of Raven and Aiden. Even through some of the hardest and hopeless times he would always remind me that quitting is not an option because of who was counting on us.
He was far from perfect, but he was a good man who worked hard and would lend a helping hand where he could. I know, despite what he may have thought, that he is deeply missed by his family and friends after his time on Earth abruptly ended. Rest in Peace and watch over Raven and Aiden as they grow ππππ
