He was predeceased by: his parents, George Higgins and Lillian Higgins; and his siblings, Steve Higgins and Judy Swinson. He is survived by: his brother Greg Higgins; his sons, Scott and Matthew Arbogast; and his granddaughter Brianna Higgins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“In loving memory of George Higgins, Please accept my heartfelt sympathies for your loss. I served in the 100th Trucking Company with George for a little over 2 years in the US Army in Bamberg and Schweinfurt, Germany, He was one of my very good friends in the Army. He was an outstanding soldier. He drove for the Company Commander. His jeep was so shiny he would be told to leave the company area when we had and IG inspection.”
