He was predeceased by: his mother Jessie Bassett; his siblings, Jane, Dicky and James; his niece Lynn; and his nephew James.
He is survived by: his brother Donald; his nieces, Jayneanne and Paula; his wife Barbara; his stepchildren, Donald (Jeannine), Donna (Bob) and Barbara Jean; his grandchildren, Nicole (Mike), Courtney (Matt), Stefani, Jenna and Jared (Kayla); and his great grandchildren, Cooper, Leo, Ellis and Faye.
