He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Remmie Mae and John E. Bennett Sr.; his wife Virginia Bennett (Flagg); his children, Kathy Rebholz (Ron), Michael Bennett (Cait) and John Bennett (Ginger); his siblings, Liston Bennett, Ouida O'Neal and Ruth Ann Korn (Al); and his grandchildren, Matthew, Megan Billiter, Christina, Isabella, Sophia, Roman Bennett, Taylor and Emma Bennett.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Halifax Hospice Care Center of Port Orange, or to The Church of the Epiphany.
