“Dear Rosie and Family, Don was a unique man who loved trying new things. We still have a gourd he painted which reminds us of him everyday. His smile and laughter was contagious, and he had quite the sense of humor. On one of our visits to your NC house, Don was spray painting the Japanese Beetles with shiny gold paint to keep them from eating his plants. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. Our deepest condolences, Carl and Lee Ponto”
