He was predeceased by: his parents, A. J. Tyus and Victoria Fernandez Tyus; and his brother Jeffrey Tyus. He is survived by: his children, Treya N. Tyus of Sneads and Dylan Tyus of Cottondale; his grandchildren, Asher Booth and Mariyah Black; his siblings, Mary Ann Cleveland (Danny) of Tennessee, Martha Tyus of Sneads and Daryl Tyus of Sneads; his nephews, Austin, Trever and Kyle Tyus; and his friends, Terry Scott and Paul Wright.
