He was predeceased by: his wife Julia. He is survived by: his parents, Edward H. Monaghan and Alice Monaghan (Shaw); his sons, Edward, Ned, Monaghan III and Nancy Monaghan of Silver Springs, Florida; and his daughter-in-law Kathy Valentine (Pete Valentine) of Bridgeton, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ned may be made to Hospice of Marion County, P.O. Box 4860, Ocala FL 34476-4860.
