He was predeceased by: his parents, Slavko Katanic and Miroslava Katanic. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Küss (Katie); his sons, Nicholas of Sarasota and Richard of Chicago; his brother Steve Katanic of Sarasota; and his cousin Svetlana Skolnick of Chicago.
