He was predeceased by: his siblings, Francis Trainor, John Olivier (Jack), Ann Holliday, George Olivier, Paul Olivier and Mary Puetzer; and his wife Patricia.
He is survived by: his children, Judge Terry Ketchel (Carolyn) and Marc Ketchel (Karen); his grandchildren, Shanti Rose, David, Micah and Andrew (McKenzie); and his great grandchild Leighton.
