She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathan Tarvin and Leatha Tarvin; her grandson Dequain; and her brother Joe. She is survived by: her husband Hubert; her children, Tasheka Ruggs, DeWayne Ruggs and Sean Williams (Melicia); her grandchildren, Isaiah, Jacob and Amber; her siblings, Robert Tarvin (Barbara) of Bessemer, AL, Mary Norris of Bessemer, AL, Lillie Crockett (John) of York, AL and Barbara Butler of Atlanta, Goergia; her aunts and uncles, Alma Travis, Barbara Tarvis, Pauline Lake, Robert Lake (Loretta) and Albert V. Gaines (Rosetta); and her close friends, Deborah Gordon, Dollie Pugh, Ollie Goodwin, Sharon Rothwell, Linda Daye, Susie Sawyer and Pam Thomas. She is also survived by eight sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; twenty-seven dedicated nieces and nephews; three god-daughters; and a host of great nieces and nephews and cousins.
