He was predeceased by: his parents, Eunice Hunter and Elliot Jennings Petteway; his siblings, James Petteway and Dr. Betty E. Petteway; and his aunt Eileen Hunter.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Debbie (Denis) and Bill (Carol); and his pet Mindy Lou. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
