Christos Kolefas Obituary
Christos Acheales Kolefas fell asleep in the Lord on December 10th 2020. He was born January 25th, 1938 in Ioannina, Greece. He was preceded in death by his father Achilleas Kolefas, mother Evdoxia Kolefas, brother Panagiotis Kolefas and his sister-in-law Mary.
Christos is survived by his wife, Carol Kolefas; daughter Christina Oregon and her husband David Oregon, daughter Stephanie Kolefas, son Chris Montesano, grandson, Shomari Kolefas; as well as an extended family, including nephew Achilleas Kolefas, niece Evdoxia nee Kolefas, and first cousin Tom and their respective families, among many others.
Christos was many things in life. A son, brother, father, grandfather, husband, golfer, fisherman, and a hard worker in many fields. He is remembered for his warm smile, gregarious spirit, and the twinkle in his eyes. Christos wasn't one to say I love you, but he spoke loudly through his actions. He was courageous and determined. Christos was always ready to take on each day with vigor and positivity. It was always "full speed ahead" and never anything else. He never let his past determine how he would live every day. Christos had faith. He believed that the almighty Father loved all his children and that one day all the horrible and saddening things we see here on Earth would be gone and that all would learn how to be peaceful. Christos is now at peace and free of any pain. He was a gem of a human being, a hero to his family and someone who will be sorely missed but fondly remembered by those who loved him dearly.
Memorial services for Christos will be held at a later date and announced as soon as the details are finalized.
