Carrie Mitchell Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 4, 2021, at the age of 85, Carrie Mitchell (Shalimar, Florida) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carrie Mitchell to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Alfonso; her son Alton; and her brothers, John, Thomas, Arthur "Bo" Gatlin and Robert Harris.

She is survived by: her children, Teresa Totten and Joseph "Joe" Mitchell (Christa); her godson Gavriel "Gavi" Williams; her siblings, Willie Mae Collier (Saul), Vernell Carver, Robert Gatlin, Albert Williams (Earlene) and Charles Williams (Colevia); and her grandchildren, Altonio Gause (Nickia), Adrean Mitchell, Sireeta Taylor (Kevin), Tiffany Mitchell, Darian Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, Miles and Marlee Mitchell. She is also survived by her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and for the safety of family and friends, the family has opted to hold the memorial service at a later date.

Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Carrie L. Mitchell to the American Cancer Society or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
