He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Moses and Hannah Sanders (Thomas); his close friend Essie P. Thomas; his children, Shanesia Logan (Earnest), Helen Scott (Reginald), Tina Thomas (Carlasle), Raymond Whipple (Misty) and Reggie Johnson (Tia); and his siblings, Robert Sanders, Jimmie Sanders, Roosevelt Sanders, Eddie Sanders (Carolyn), Johnny Sanders and Ruth Surger. He was also cherished by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
