He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Crowder and Lillie Mae Wilson; his siblings, Norman Crowder, Wiley Crowder, Pearce Crowder, Catherine Crowder, Pauline Crowder and Mary Jo Strickland; his son-in-law Robert Slaymaker; his wife Annie Crowder; his children, Joe Bacon (Veronica), Pernell Crowder, Lillie Crowder-May (Darren), Anissa Crowder-Slaymaker and April Crowder-Floyd (Matthew); his grandchildren, Pernell Crowder, Jr., Cameron Crowder, Amber Crowder, Zhane Richardson, Keyon Richardson, Connor May, Tanisha Ravenell, Laeonya George, Arthur Lanier and Kinte Lanier; his siblings, Roy Crowder, Randy Lee Crowder, Clifford Moody, Bernice Crowder, Ollie Allen, Iona Valley and Lila Bell Robinson; his mother-in-law Emma George; his siblings-in-law, Clara George, Seleste Graham (Donovan) and Raymond George (Alison); and his cousins, Elaine Lyons, Sherell Parks, Betty Rivers and Duhne Crowder. He was also cherished by other relatives and friends.

He was a former member of True Foundation Ministries, Crescent City.
