He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Rhoda; his son George; and his siblings, William Coley, Raymond Tyson, Diane Martin (Harold) and Edward Coley.

He is survived by: his children, James (Sharon), Kathleen (Gary), Janet, Melissa Phelps (Timothy), Donna DiPadova (Art), Nicole DiPadova (Michael), Susan and Kenneth Coley; and his siblings, Joseph "Mickey" Coley, John "Jack" Coley (Floss), Rhoda Burke (Frederick "Fritz"), Leonard Tyson and Joseph Tyson (Candy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
