With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cristina Mencia Bowersett (Seminole, Florida), born in Havana, Florida, who passed away on March 16, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Amalia Lliteras and Manuel Jesus Mencia; her husband Lee Byrd Bowersett; her granddaughter Juniper Amalia Peterson; and her brother Miguel Mariano Mencia.
She is survived by: her children, Dustin William Bowersett and Carly Amalia Peterson; her grandchildren, Lola Byrd Bowersett, Ophelia Eve Peterson and Beau Alan Bowersett; her children-in-law, Lauren Elizabeth Bobek and Michael Anthony Peterson; her siblings, Ana Maria Mencia Harrison, Manuel'Manny'Francisco Mencia and Juan'Jack'Andres Mencia; and her goddaughter Michelle Lisa Pardillo. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 6:30 PM.
