She was predeceased by: her son Jesse Shumen; and her siblings, Ray Barlow, Foster Barlow, Kathy West and Dorothy Messick.

She is survived by: her husband Laurie E. Garvin; her children, Bobby Holloway, Daniel Holloway, Judy Gilley and Kathy Hyde; and her sisters, Cumy Leveritt and Florence Smith. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.
