He was predeceased by: his father Archie Richard Wolfe; his sister Patricia Wolfe; and his brother-in-law Dale Ziegler. He is survived by: his mother Esther Sue Wolfe (Chambers) of Sebring, FL; his wife Karen S. Cappel-Wolfe of Sebring, FL; and his siblings, Dawn Ziegler of Sebring, FL, Arthur Wolfe (Rhoda) of Sebring, FL, Robert Wolfe (Pam) of Silver Spring, MD and Marvin Wolfe (Liz) of Sebring, FL. He is also survived by Numerous Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews.

“I worked with Walter for many years. When I moved back to Michigan, Walter and Karen gave me a jar with sand in it so I would always have some Florida real estate. Walter had put keys from a keyboard in it that represented the last names of Sunshine Company's MIS department-W, L, E, R, M and Y. There are only three of us now. I can't tell you how heartbreaking it is to add Walter's obituary to the jar with Marty's and Elliot's. My condolences and prayers for Karen and his family.”
