He is survived by: his wife Nila Mendieta of Zolfo Springs; his children, Auelarto Mendieta of Zolfo Springs, Kenny Mendieta of Zolfo Springs, Perla Mendieta of Zolfo Springs, Denise Mendieta of Zolfo Springs and Marissa Mendieta of Zolfo Springs; and his siblings, Antonio Mendieta (Graciela) of Wauchula, Mariano Mendieta of Wauchula, Gloria Mendieta (Domingo Arvizu) of Wauchula, Zoila Mendieta of Mexico, Evangelina Mendieta of Mexico and Juana Mendieta of Mexico.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Robarts Garden Chapel (529 W Main St, Wauchula, FL 33873). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Michael Catholic Church (408 Heard Bridge Rd, Wauchula, FL 33873). A burial was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at the Friendship Cemetery.
