She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Doherty and Madeline Doherty; her son Brian Pilot; and her siblings, Tim Doherty and Kathy Doherty.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph J. Balzer; her sons, David Pilot (Priscilla) of Brookville, IN and Spencer Wright (Ricki Collett) of Sebring, FL; her stepchildren, Emily Balzer (Pat Compton) of Cincinnati, OH, Missy Balzer (Josh Moore) of Cincinnati, OH and Joe C. Balzer (Ashley) of Cincinnati, OH; and her brothers, Larry, Robert, Dennis and John Doherty. She is also survived by ten grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Susan's name to Good Shepherd Hospice in Sebring, honoring her memory and the compassionate care she received.
