He was predeceased by: his parents, Alejo Velez and Aracelia Morales; his wife Adela Perez-Velez; his siblings, Salvador, Jose, Pablo, Andres, Merquiades Ester and Luisa; and his children, Junior Cordero of Avon Park, Hilda Velez of Avon Park, Maribel Polanco of Grayson, GA, Nilsa Velez of Erie, PA, Ruth Velez of Avon Park and Jose Velez of Avon Park.
He is survived by: his brother Artemio Velez. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
