He was predeceased by: his parents, Gorman Pickard and May Pickard (Jessup); and his siblings, Ralph, Margaret, Ada Bernice, Russel, Anna Kate and George (Dorothy).

He is survived by: his children, Robert E. (Rick), Richard Pickard of Odessa, Florida and Deborah J. Morrisette (Jeff) of Alabama; his granddaughter Tammy Church; his great grandchildren, Paul, Luke, Emily and Sophia; and his great great grandchild Mason.
