He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest T. Smith and Iva Birdie Lee Smith (Hillis); his sons, Tommy Smith and Danny Smith; and his brothers, Charley Ira Smith and Ernest Allen Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Sue Deavers; his children, Patrick Smith Barnett and Jacquie Smith McCray (Kevin McCray); his stepchildren, Missy Deavers and Sammy Deavers; his sister Carol N. Jones; his nephew Rick Shouse; and his niece Debbie Mikowski. He is also survived by six Grandchildren and four Great-Grandchildren.
