He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Viola Keene and Claude Reece Forbes Jr.; his brother Gordon "Sparky" Forbes; and his siblings-in-law, Anita Forbes, Robert L. Johnson Jr. and Joseph Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Maggie Johnson Forbes of Sebring; and his daughter Jessica Forbes of Pensacola. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and one great-great nephew.
