He was predeceased by: his parents, John Meier and Ila Groce; his wife Geraldine Carmichael Meier; and his siblings, Virginia Davis, Paul, Merl and Dean Meier.
He is survived by: his sons, Tim A. Meier (Pam) of Kennesaw, GA, Thomas K. Meier (Terri) of Folsom, CA, Kirk J. Meier (Colleen) of Troy, OH and Gregg R. Meier of Thailand. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
