He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewel Long and Nevell Long; his son Michael Long; and his siblings, Austin, Billy Long, June Riley and Dean Long.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Long; his son Brian Long; his sister Cheryl Adkins; his daughters-in-law, Angie Long and Pam Long; his grandchildren, Shelton Long, Payton Long and Megan Long; and his great grandchildren, Amelia Delaney and Scarlet Long.
