He was predeceased by: his significant other Mary Rose (Love); his daughter Sheila; his parents, James Edward and Grace McGarry (Haertel); his brothers, Robert and Gerard; and his cousins, Donald Haertel and Kevin McGarry.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Rose, Michael (Paula) of Simpsonville, SC, Patrick of Basalt, CO, Coleen McDonald (Michael) of Lantana, FL and Cathleen McGarry of Sebring; his grandchildren, Michael McGarry Jr. (Taryn), Brian McGarry (Kristine), Tara McGarry Boulware (James), Patrick McGarry Jr., Matthew McGarry, Bryan St. Cyr (Shanice), Logan St. Cyr (Victoria) and Angelina Roy; and his caregiver Sara Leon. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
