Wampler in Sebring, Florida, born in Weyers Cave, Virginia, who passed away on November 27, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Wampler and Ada Wampler (Hollar); and his wife Elaine Shenk Wampler. He is survived by: his children, Neal (Marsha), Emily (Chris) and Joseph (Carolyn); his stepsons, Eric (Charlene), Troy (Cassandra) and Todd (Nanci Luna Jimenez); and also, Lois Hotchkiss and Pam Deneve. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
He was generous with his time and resources for causes he found worthy: he once donated an altar he built to a local church and joined the cleanup efforts in Louisiana after Hurricane Andrew devastated the region; he supported his alma mater, area food banks and various other organizations.
