He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Friend and Elnora Friend; his former wife Norma Collins Friend; his children, James Friend (Carolyn) and Karen Melnick (Sam); and his stepson Guy Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Loraine Walker Miller Friend; his stepsons, Gary Miller and Mike Miller (Debbie); and his grandchildren, Zack Ball (Jessica) and Cassie Johnson (Derek).
