He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Agee Bates Sr. and Esther Beatrice Bates (Royce); his wife Nancy; his children, Ronnie Bates (Nancy) of Fayetteville, GA, Donnie Bates (Karla) of Fayetteville, GA and Sherrie Lenz (Steve) of Avon Park, FL; and his siblings, Mike Bates (Carol) of Lexington, KY, Janice Mozer (Mike) of Reading, OH and Teresa Bates of Cynthiana, KY.. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
